Back To School

Kids of Inmates back-to-school programs heavily emphasize supporting not only kids but the developmental bond between parents and Children by providing them with the desire to go to school, which acts as a springboard to change the entirety of their educational experience. Cool backpacks, lunch boxes, and school supplies are stepping stones to gaining acceptance in school, with a point system where a history of attendance and good grades will award prizes of clothes and sneakers.

The first day of school is essential, and simple things can make a difference. We utilize a building block system; parents must be enrolled in vocational or GED programs if they still need to qualify and show their desire to better themselves and the lives and relationships with their families.

Birthday

Kids of Inmates birthday program ensures that no parent is unable to provide an educational, artistic, and or musical gift to their children, regardless of their financial status. Parents who are adults in custody face the unique difficulty of being unable to give a birthday present to their little loved ones due to the restrictions and limitations of being incarcerated.

Together we are ensuring that Kids of Inmates receive another level of support and connection for their special day, including custom messages and birthday cards.

Children who receive this extra touch point will know they are top of mind despite the separation between them and their incarcerated parent.

No Child should be left out on their birthday. Let's change the internal narrative for these children. Our program is committed to bridging the gap that incarceration creates and creating joyous memories in the Child's life.

Please help us create an unforgettable smile on a kid's face today!

Christmas Gifts

Kids of Inmates takes a proactive strategy to prepare for the holidays. No Child should go without a present from their parent at Christmas time. The separation that incarceration imposes upon families is especially brutal. Formative times in young children's lives need specific attention and providing Children with gifts during the holiday is significant to build core memories of abundance and support during these magical seasons.

Research has shown that when Children associate these memories as positive, they are much more likely to feel supported, seen, and heard. We are creating a platform and system to provide a foundation to transform what could otherwise be a traumatizing experience for a child.

Let's be the catalyst that makes this year's holiday season memorable for Kids of Inmates.

Together we can transform a Child's life and create opportunities for them to feel loved and supported!

Stepping into a Child's life to support them during life events will help them curate memories during the formative years.

Contact us directly with special requests, and please continue providing donations to expand efforts to transform a kid's experience whose parent is an adult in custody.

Your efforts will be remembered and will have a positive impact on the future of the next generation.
